Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, at many places in Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and west Rajasthan. Weather was dry in Jammu and Kashmir. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Ghamroor 3 and Bangana 1, Punjab: Dasuya 1 and Uttaranchal: Banbasa 13, Mukteshwar and Pantnagar 7 each, Dehra Dun 4, Haripur and Marora 3 each, Almora, Haldwani, Hardwar and Tehri 2 each and Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 8: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the next 24 hours.
