The police has nabbed a notorious criminal with 20 crude bombs in the Beconganj locality of the city. A police spokesman said Haziful Rehaman, alias Guddu, was nabbed from Pench Bagh here with the bombs on Thursday night. UNI

Army men assault former MLA
Kohima, August 23
Former MLA of Dimapur constituency Vihepu Yepthomi was “assaulted” by Assam Rifles personnel at Dimapur town on Thursday, official sources said. Mr Yepthomi was travelling in an autorickshaw, which was intercepted by the personnel of the 10th Battalion of Assam Rifles, sources said.
