Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at many places in east Rajasthan, at a few places in Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh.Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amount of rainfall in cms are: East Rajasthan: Bayana and Mandrayal 4 each, Kathumar, Nadbai and Viratnagar 3 each, Hindon, Lalsot, Ramgarh Bandh and Raipur 2 each and Bharatpur, Bamanwas, Jhalawar, Laxmangarh, Pahari, Radiadam and Vair 1 each; east Uttar Pradesh: Sultanpur 5, Kakardharighat and Raibareili 2 each and Birdghat, Ballia, Dalmau, Gorakhpur and Varanasi 1 each and west Uttar Pradesh: Kalpi 4 and Hamirpur, Mohana and Shahjina 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 20: Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region.
