Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Rajasthan, at a few places in west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms. are: Haryana: Gohana 2 and Rohtak 1, east Rajasthan: Sarwad 5, Aligarh, Degana, Goyala, Jayal and Ladnu 3 each, Bundi, Puskar, Pipldu and Shahpura 2 each and Ajmer, Bhinai, Didana, Kishangarh, Kekri, Makrana, Parvatsar and Radiadam 1 each, west Rajasthan: Harshol 3 and Churu 2, east Uttar Pradesh: Allahabad and Chhatnag 3 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Jhansi 5 and Uttaranchal: Marora 10, Dehra Dun 4 and Uttarkashi 3.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 18: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region.
