Monsoon has been vigorous in Uttaranchal and active in Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported from most places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at many places in Uttar Pradesh, at few places in Haryana, Punjab and east Rajasthan and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in west Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Jagadhari 9, Chandigarh 7 and Ambala and Thanesar 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Kangra 12, Nadaun 7, Ghamroor and Guler 5 each, Berthin and Nagrota Surian 4 each, Pandoh and Sujanpur Tira 2 each and Kahu, Kasol and Shimla 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu 1, Punjab: Ludhiana and Ropar 5 each, East Rajasthan: Kotkasim and Raipur 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Kakardharighat 48, Katerniaghat 15, Mirzapur 10, Palliakalan 8, Ghazipur 7, Ankinghat and Balrampur 4 each, Raebareli and Shardanagar 3 each, Fatehgarh and Khadda 2 each, Allahabad, Bani, Ballia, Chhatnag and Neemsar 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Bareilly 21, Sarsawa 9, Etawah 3 and Dabri and Narora 1 each, Uttaranchal: Uttarkashi 14 each, Marora 13, Dehra Dun 6, Hardwar and Pantnagar 4 each, Mukteshwar 3 and Banbasa, Joshimath and Rudraprayag 1 each.
