Two killed in Rajouri blast
Jammu, July 23
Atleast two persons including a teenaged girl were killed and 26 injured in an Improvised Explosive Devise (IED) blast in Rajouri district late this evening. The police sources said that unknown ultras triggered off an IED on a crowded city chowk in Rajouri district at around 9.45 p.m. Two persons were killed on the spot and 26 others injured in the blast. A police party rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. The condition of some of the injured was stated to be critical, the sources said adding that the police has launched a hunt for the Ultras. No militant outfit has so far claimed responsibility for the blast.

Seven Huji ultras chargesheeted
New Delhi, July 23
Seven militants of the Pakistan-backed Harkat-ul-Jehad-e-Islam outfit were today chargesheeted under POTA for planning to target and kidnap VIPs, including cricket stars Sachin Tendulkar and Saurav Ganguly, and blast important installations. The charge sheet was filed by the police in the court of designated Judge S.N. Dhingra against Tariq Mehmood, alias Naeem, Ashahaq Ahmed, alias Dilshad, Moh-ammed Ashraf, Abdul Majid, Mohammed Amran (all Pakistan nationals), Jallaluddin, alias Rana, a Bangladeshi, and Mufti Mohammed Asrar from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh. They have been charged under POTA, various provisions of the IPC, the Arms Act, the Explosives Substance Act and the Foreigners Act for illegally entering the country to execute their plans.
