Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Kasol, Pandoh and Sundernagar 2 each; and Shimla 1; Punjab: Batala 3; and Adampur 1; east Uttar Pradesh: Kakrahi 8; Bansi and Khadda 7; each, Regoli 4; and Gorakhpur and Jaunpur 1 each; and Uttaranchal: Joshimath 3.

Forecast valid until the morning of July 24: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in west Rajasthan.
