Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reprted at many places in Uttaranchal, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms. are :Himachal Pradesh: Pandoh 6, Baijnath 4, Dhundhi and Gohar 2 each and Paonta 1 and Uttaranchal: Mukteshwar 5, Rudraprayag and Tehri 3 each, Uttarkashi 2 and Joshimath 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of July 19: Rain or thundershowers are likely occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in Rajasthan.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of July 19: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development and light rain in some areas.
