Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Barsar and Guler 2 each; Uttar Pradesh: Birdghat, Kakrahi and Khadda 1 each and Uttaranchal: Joshimath 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of July 17: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. Duststorms or thunderstorms are likely at isolated places in west Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in east Rajasthan.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of July 18: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development in some areas.
