Who needs a monsoon
for rain dance Ludhiana, July 7 The local youth descended there to enjoy what used to be a wild dream for them a few years ago. Its coming to reality has made dance lovers wait eagerly for it every year. The last night left many pleasant memories. Hundreds of couples danced tirelessly to the tunes of a local DJ well past midnight yesterday, as the sprinklers near a swimming pool showered them with cool artificial rain. The light-and-sound effects added to the upbeat mood. The mood even forced some shy ones to shed their inhibition for once and have a gala time. The rain dance came as a relief for the sun-scorched city youth. The party-birds wanted more thrills even past midnight. While no one seemed disappointed, stags had to wait outside to look for an opportunity to sneak in to join the party that was strictly for couples. This huge crowd of single men started shaking a leg outside the venue only. Some smart ones, though, sneaked in when security guards were looking elsewhere. |
