USA freezes assets of ISYF, Babbar Khalsa
Washington, June 27 
The USA added two Sikh separatist groups to a list of ‘’specially designated global terrorist’’ entities today, extending the US “war on terrorism’’ into new territory. The listing means that financial institutions in the USA must freeze assets of the groups. They are the Babbar Khalsa and the International Sikh Youth Foundation (ISYF), the Office of Foreign Assets Control in the US Treasury Department said. Reuters

Monsoon session
New Delhi, June 27 
A month-long monsoon session of Parliament will begin on July 15 and is likely to conclude on August 14. The date of the session has been fixed keeping in view the Presidential election on July 15 as members of both Houses have to be present to cast their votes. PTI
