He cited the examples of construction of various stadia in Dharamsala, Una and getting clearance from the defence authorities for renovation of the world famous Anandale ground in Shimla. He said this ground could then be used for holding international cricket matches in times to come. On being asked about sports facilities in Nalagarh, he said for the past more than two decades, the area did not witness proper development in this field, but now there was a plan to construct a number of stadiums in the area. He appreciated the efforts of the Sports Promoters Club, specially its president, Mr I.D. Kamboj, for making efforts to promote sport. He said various exhibition matches would be held in Nalagarh with teams from UT for creating awareness about sport among youths and children of the area. He said the government was making efforts to ensure overall development of the area by creating job avenues, improving industrial growth and ensuring infrastructural development.
