Our correspondent

New Delhi June 15
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) proposes to introduce two new programmes this year for professionals. The part-time courses are Master of Technology in Information Technology (MTech), which will be taught during the weekends, and Bachelor of Architecture (BArch), which will be taught during the evenings. Both courses are proposed to begin from this academic session.

The weekend MTech programme is proposed for three years while the evening BArch programme will be for six years. The number of seats for both courses is between 40 and 50.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof K. K. Aggarwal, said these courses were being introduced to provide an opportunity to those professionals who might already have earned a degree and started working full time. “These courses are specifically for those who are working full time and feel the need to get a formal degree to further their career prospects,” he said.
