Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, above normal in Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in Uttaranchal. The highest temperature in the region was 46.7°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 27: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. Duststorms or thunderstorms are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of duststorm/thunderstorm accompanied by squall in some areas. Fall in maximum temperature and will be around 41°C.
