Heat wave conditions are prevailing in parts of Rajasthan and Haryana, including Chandigarh, and Delhi.

Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, rose in west Uttar Pradesh, fell in west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan, above normal in west Uttar Pradesh, below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in Uttaranchal. The highest temperature in the region 46.6°C was recorded at Churu and Dholpur (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 11: Weather will be mainly dry over the region.

Forecasst for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 11: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Maximum temperature will be around 43°C.
