Privilege notice against PM
New Delhi, May 9
Congress chief whip Priyaranjan Dasmunsi today said in the Lok Sabha that he had given a notice of breach of privilege against Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee for misleading the House. Raising the issue during zero hour, Mr Dasmunsi said Mr Vajpayee had wrongly quoted his Goa speech in the House. Congress member Margaret Alva, who was in the Chair, told him that his notice was under consideration. TNS

Kaifi Azmi better
Mumbai, May 9
The condition of renowned Urdu writer Kaifi Azmi, who had been hospitalised for asthma, was better today and he has been shifted from the ICU, hospital sources said. Kaifi had been in the ICU of Jaslok Hospital for the past 45 days, sources said. Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh visited him yesterday, sources said. PTI
