MCF to attach
defaulters’ property Faridabad, May 9 The commissioner has reportedly ordered the authorities here to go ahead in the matter. It is learnt that the MCF officials have finally decided to attach the property of at least 38 such units and issued notice to others. It is claimed that the MCF is due to recover about Rs 8 crore from about 667 units. The issue had been brought to the notice of the Chief Minister during the last meeting of the district grievances committee, when some of the industrialists demanded improvement of the civic amenities in the Industrial sectors. The CM had appealed to the factory owners to clear their dues so that the amount could be spent for developing the facilities demanded by them. While a joint commissioner of the MCF has been made nodal officer for recovering the amount, it is reported that NIT zone, Old Faridabad and Ballabgarh zone units owe Rs 1.44 crore, Rs 2.69 crore and 3.75 crore respectively. Some of the defaulting units have gone either sick or have been lying closed for many years. |
