Window system mooted to ease public dealing
Tribune News Service

Ludhiana, May 7
In order to provide better services to the public, the district administration is starting a special window service in all offices of mini secretariat.

The Deputy Commissioner, Mr Anurag Aggarwal today said the public would be dealt with at these windows only and the entry of people in the corridors would be selective. He said the practice would check the rush and also avoid the inconvenience to the people.

The Deputy Commissioner has also issued orders to regulate the presence of the public in the administrative offices. Only those people, who have some work, would be allowed in. These orders have been issued as some people tend to tag along with a person who has some work in the office.

The Deputy Commissioner also directed all officials of the administration to activate their public grievances redressal system and warned them against any delay. He also directed them to regulate the entry of crowd and follow a systematic official procedure.

The Deputy Commissioner also conducted a surprise inspection of the offices of the mini secretariat and directed the officials concerned to check the entry of public in the corridors. He also asked them to ensure the construction of stairs and platforms outside the offices for the smooth entry of the public and easy access to the windows of various officials branches.

He reiterated that the process of administrative reforms would be accelerated in the coming days. The entire change was a part of the anti-corruption drive launched by the government, he said.
