4 ultras shot, Major hurt in encounter Srinagar, April 30 Official sources said militants attacked a security force patrol at Baderpora in Anantnag district late last night with automatic weapons. The security forces retaliated and in the half-an-hour encounter, two militants and a soldier were killed and two armymen, including a Major, were injured. In another encounter at Matrigund Bandipora in north Kashmir today, the security forces killed two unidentified militants. Two security personnel were also injured and a house damaged in the clash. The sources said militants entered the house of a ruling National Conference worker Raja at Kulgam and fired at the inmates with automatic weapons. Two persons were injured in the firing. The bodies of two brothers, Charan Dass and Kuldeep Raj, were recovered by the police from Bravi Nullah in Rajouri district today, spokesman said. The duo was kidnapped by militants from their village at Dukhari-Bravi a few days ago. |
