Quake hits Afghan town
An earthquake hit the northern Afghan town of Nahrin on Friday, causing dozens of buildings to collapse a little more than two weeks after a series of tremors killed more than 1,000 people in the area, officials said. A military official in nearby Kunduz province said at least three persons were reported killed. Reuters

Suicide bomber
Jerusalem, April 12
A Palestinian suicide bomber blew himself up at a bus stop near an open-air market in Jerusalem on Friday, killing several people, Jerusalem police chief Mickey Levy said. He said he was not sure whether the bomber was a man or a woman. The blast coincided with a Middle-East peace mission by U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell. Reuters
