4 criminals killed in encounter
Madhepura (Bihar), April 7
At least four criminals of the Abadhesh Mandal gang were killed and as many injured in an encounter with the police at Abhaya village of Akbarpur under the Rupauli police station today. Officer-in-Charge of the Chausa police station Prabendra Bharti sustained bullet injuries in the encounter, the police said, adding that four criminals were arrested along with arms. UNI

Security reviewed
Jaipur, April 7
A high-level team of intelligence and police officials reviewed security arrangements for a dreaded terrorist lodged in a Rajasthan jail, a top intelligence officer said here today. This followed a message from the Centre that the terrorist could be freed by their fellow ultras, Additional Director-General of Police (Intelligence) Arun Duggar said here. PTI
