Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh and at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Haryana and at isolated places in Punjab, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: Haryana: Tohana 2 and Chandigarh, Jind, Kaithal, Loharu, Naraingarh, Sirsa, Uchana and Uklana 1 each, and Himachal Pradesh: Kumarsain and Rampurbushar 2 each and Bhuntar, Dharampur, Ghamroor, Karsog, Kotkhai, Nahan and Shimla 1 each.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in west Rajathan, fell in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in east Rajasthan, below normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 6.7°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 27: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. Isolated hailstorms/thundersqualls are likely in Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 27: Mainly clear sky. Gusty winds during day time. Fall in minimum temperature that will be around 9°C.
