Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. Snowfall report (cms) Himachal Pradesh: Dhundhi and Patsio 5 each.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Punjab and east Rajasthan, rose in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little in east Uttar Pradesh. Departures: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Punjab and Uttaranchal, above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in east Uttar Pradesh. The lowest temperature in the plains was 7.8°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 19: Rain or snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in west Rajasthan. Hailstorms/thundersqualls are likely at isolated places in Haryana, east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 19: Mainly clear sky. Mist/fog in the morning, chilly winds to continue. Minimum temperature will be around 7°C.
