Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Rajasthan and changed a little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in west Rajasthan, above normal in east Rajasthan, below normal in west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 4.3°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of January 27: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in Haryana, north Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 27: Generally cloudy sky with light rain or thundershowers in some areas. Minimum temperature will be around 10°C.
