Gurnoor Kang was the star rider of the day when she clinched top slot in two events in the second National Mountain Bike Cycling Championships for senior, junior and sub-junior boys and girls section, which began here at the Kaimbala village slopes today morning. Earlier, Prof K.N. Pathak, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University, inaugurated the meet. He also flagged off the cross-country race for boys. A large number of adjoining villagers had gathered along the narrow path. Results: cross-country mass start races: Four-lap sub-junior boys under-16: Kulbir Singh (Haryana) time — 33 minutes 22.84 seconds; Gaganbir Singh (Chandigarh) 2, Amandeep Singh (Punjab) 3.
