Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf
tonight said the USA was not targeting Islam or the people of Afghanistan in
its pursuit of terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden.

cautioned on Pak help
New Delhi, September 19
India today cautioned the USA about
seeking Pakistan’s cooperation in the global war against terrorism, saying
that Islamabad itself was sponsoring it. This was conveyed to US Ambassador
Robert Blackwill at a meeting he had with Parliamentary Affairs Minister
Pramod Mahajan.
No IAF bases offered to USA
New Delhi, September 19
India today dismissed as “totally incorrect” reports that three IAF bases had been offered to the USA for launching an attack on terrorist targets in Afghanistan.
