Monsoon withdraws from Rajasthan
New Delhi, September 14
South-west monsoon has withdrawn from remaining parts of west Rajasthan and adjoining parts of east Rajasthan. Line of withdrawal of monsoon passes from Sriganganagar, Churu, Ajmer, Udaipur and thence Porbandar.

South-west monsoon has withdrawn from remaining parts of west Rajasthan and adjoining parts of east Rajasthan. Line of withdrawal of monsoon passes from Sriganganagar, Churu, Ajmer, Udaipur and thence Porbandar.

Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir, at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amount of rainfall in cm. are: Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal and Sriganganagar 1 each, Punjab: Amritsar 1 and East Uttar Pradesh: Mukhlispur 11, Chandradeepghat 9, Basti 7, Kakrahi, Kakardharighat, Katerniaghat and Regoli 2 each and Bansi, Birdghat, Bahraich, Chillaghat and Gorakhpur 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 16: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Jammu and Kashmir with isolated snowfall over higher reaches. Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana and east Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in west Rajasthan.
