Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in east Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms. are: Haryana: Ambala, Chandigarh and Naraingarh 3 each, Himachal Pradesh: Nahan 26, Gohar 9, Guler 8, Nadaun 7, Pandoh 6, Barsar and Panota 5 each, Sundernagar 4, Berthin and Kasol 3 each, Rampur Bushar and Sujanpur Tira 2 each and Bhuntar, Kangra, Kasauli and Solan 1 each, Punjab: Ludhiana and Ropar 3 each, Adampur 2 and Nangal 1, West Rajasthan: Suratgarh 6, East Uttar Pradesh: Bansi 7, Chandradeepghat and Sultanpur 6 each, Mukhlispur , Raebarely and Turtipar 5 each, Ayodha and Kalpi 4 each, Bani and Katerniaghat 3 each, Balrampur, Dalmau, Kakrahi, Mirjapur and Varanasi A.P. 2 each and Allahabad, Chhatnag, Ghazipur, Hanuman Setu (Lucknow), Jaunpur, Khadda and Palliakalan 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Moradabad 1 and Uttaranchal: Uttarkashi 4, Joshimath 2 and Dehradun 1.

Heavy rain is also likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the same period. Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the moring of 11th August: Light to modrate rain will occur at many places.
