Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at many places in Himachal Pradesh, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Naraingarh 2, Himachal Pradesh: Baijnath 7, Nagrotasurian and Pandoh 3 each and Berthin, Guler, Jubbal, Nadaun, Sujanpur Tira and Shimla 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu 7, East Uttar Pradesh: Behraich and Lucknow 4 each, Varanasi City 3 and Allahabad, Sultanpur and Varanasi A.P 2 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Bareilly 2 and Uttaranchal: Dehra Dun and Mukteshwar 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 6: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and east Rajasthan and at isolated places in west Rajasthan.
