Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal, at a few places in Jammu and kashmir, Punjab, east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amount of rainfall in cms. are: Haryana: Thanesar 11, Punjab: Amritsar 2, East Uttar Pradesh: Khadda 15, Regoli 7, Ballia 2 and Katerniaghat, Kakrahi and Turtipar 1 each and Uttaranchal: Dehra Dun 2.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 2: Rain or thundershowers will occur at most places in Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of August 2: Partly cloudly sky with possibility of thundry development in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 37° C.
