Southwest monsoon has advanced into some more parts of Rajasthan, parts of southwest Uttar Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh. Conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon in more parts of Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.

Southwest monsoon has advanced into some more parts of Rajasthan, parts of southwest Uttar Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh. Conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon in more parts of Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.

Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal, at many places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and at a few places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Thanesar — 8, Naraingarh — 7, Rohtak — 5, Rewari and Sirsa — 2 each; Himachal Pradesh: Kasauli and Nahan — 1 each; Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu — 6, Pahalgam — 5, Batote — 3 and Banihal — Quazigund and Srinagar — 1 each, Punjab: Amritsar and Mukerian — 2 each and Bathinda — 1; Rajasthan: Puskar — 7, Jawaharsagar — 5, Bhopalgarh and Phalodi — 4 each, Bikaner, Jaswantpur, Jawaidam, Kishangarh, Pisangan, Sagar, Sanchaur and Sumerpur — 3 each; Bilara and Sawai Madhopur — 2 each and Ajmer, Jodhpur, Kota and Jalore — 1 each; Uttar Pradesh: Jhansi — 11 and Gorakhpur — 1 each; and Uttaranchal: Pantnagar — 2.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh, fell in east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, rose in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were largely below normal in Haryana, markedly below normal in Punjab, east Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and appreciably below normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 39.0°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 19: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of June 19: Moderate to rather heavy rain will occur at many places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
