Fourteen ultras were apprehended by soldiers of Red Horns Division, operation in Lower Assam, from various districts during searches over the past 72 hours, defence sources said. Dalit family beaten to death
Lucknow, June 17 
In another case of caste conflict, five members of a Dalit family were beaten to death in Husain Ganj village in Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh today. Principal Secretary (Home) Naresh Dayal said some members of the upper caste beat to death a 60-year-old women, her daughter-in-law and her three grandchildren aged 11, six and one. UNI

Four kids hurt
Mumbai, June 17
Heavy rain accompanied by gusty winds continued to lash the metropolis for the fifth consecutive day today even as four children of a family, including three girls, received minor injuries when part of their house collapsed in suburban Bhandup this morning. PTI
