Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at most places in east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Uchana 3, Ayanagar (Delhi) Ridge, New Delhi (Palam) and Narwana 2 each and Bhiwani, Kurukshetra and Nilokheri 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Dehragopipur and Shimla 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Srinagar 3 and Pahalgam 1, Punjab: Gurdaspur and Ludhiana 1 each, Rajasthan: Udaipur 3, Kota 2 and Ajmer and Jaipur 1 each, Uttar Pradesh: Hindon 3 and Sarsawa 1 and Uttaranchal : Dehra Dun 5.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell largely in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, fell appreciably in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and fell in east Uttar Pradesh. Departures: They were largely below normal in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, appreciably below normal in Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh and below normal in Jammu and Kashmir. The highest temperature in the region was 39.4°C recorded at Sikar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 17: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, south Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, south Rajasthan and Uttaranchal during next 48 hours.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of June 17: Light to moderate rain will occur at many places.
