Ludhiana, June 2
The Punjab Women’s Football Association will organise four coaching camps for the Punjab women’s football team which will participate in the 31st National games to be held in the state from September 16 to 29, according to a press release issued by the Punjab Women’s Football Association here today.
The first of these camps, which will be held in collaboration with the Punjab Olympic Association and the Punjab Sports Department, will be held from July 14 to 26 with 30 probables who will also undergo another coaching camp from July 30 to August 13. The third coaching camp with 25 probables will be conducted from August 16 to 30 and the final camp for the team will be held from September 1 to 15.
The selection committee of the Punjab Women’s Football Association will select 30 probables for the camp at the trials to be held at the GHG, Khalsa college, Gurusar Sudhar near here.
According to the press release, the association has also decided to organise coaching camps for the junior under-19 women’s football team which will participate in the junior under-19 National Women’s Football Championship to be held in the first week of July. This camp is likely to be supervised by Mr. Kaka T. Singh and Dr. Biru Mal Sharma, Chief Football officer of NIS, added the release.
However, the release did not mention the venue of the coaching camps.
