CWC meeting on May 28
New Delhi, May 24
The Congress Working Committee (CWC) will meet on May 28 to take review of the party’s performance in recent elections. Congress spokesman Jaipal Reddy said today that the meeting would begin at 11 a.m. The meeting, to be chaired by Congress President Sonia Gandhi, would discuss the party preparations for the crucial Assembly elections in UP. BSF officers return
New Delhi, May 24
A team of 17 Border Security Force (BSF) officers returned to the country after successfully accomplishing an UN mission in Kosovo. The BSF officers today met the Director-General of the BSF, Mr Gurbachan Jagat, and briefed him about the mission. The Indian contingent in Kosovo was the second largest after the USA. TNS

CBSE results today
New Delhi, May 24
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce tomorrow the Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII), 2001 results for Ajmer, Chennai, Allahabad, Chandigarh and Guwahati regions. The Class XII results for Delhi region will be announced on May 28, a CBSE press note said here today. The Secondary School Examination (Class X) results for all regions will be announced on May 31. Naval aircraft crashes
Canacona (Goa), May 24
A fighter aircraft of the Indian naval ship, HANSA, crashed near here today. Pilot Lt Cdr Vikram Menon ejected safely, a spokesman for the ship said. He said the fighter was on a routine flight when it crashed near Canacona around 12 noon. An inquiry has been ordered into the incident. UNI
