Separate hospital for ex-servicemen sought
Our Correspondent

Kharar, May 20
The Union and the state governments should solve the problems faced by the ex-servicemen and their demands including one rank one pension, said Col J.S. Mand, President, Indian Ex-Sevices Leagse, Punjab and Chandigarh, while addressing a press conference.

While talking about one rank one pension demand, he said that they have been demanding it since 1991 but nothing has been done so far inspite of various promises made about this. He demanded separate hospitals for ex-servicemen both at the sub-division and the district levels and the medical expenses should be reimbursed to them as in the case of civil pensioners.

He also demanded that the last drawn pension of the jawan should be the family pension and a separate pay commission should be set up for them. The Union Government should create a separate fund for them and various grants should be uniform and permanent rules should be framed for this, he added.
