Six Manipur ministers sacked
Imphal, May 14
Manipur today plunged back into political turmoil as two coalition partners of the Radhabinod Koijam ministry withdrew support even as the Chief Minister hit back by sacking six ministers, including two of the rebel ally, for alleged links with militants while seven others resigned. The Nationalist Congress Party (two MLAs) and Federal Party of Manipur (two MLAs) withdrew their support to the Koijam ministry, reducing its strength to 54 in the 60-member Assembly. PTI

Ayodhya case: uproar in House
Lucknow, May 14
The Uttar Pradesh Assembly today witnessed uproarious scenes with opposition members shouting slogans and storming into the well of the House seeking the issuance of a fresh notification for the trial of eight Sangh Parivar leaders, who had got a reprieve from the special CBI court recently. Opposition parties, led by the Samajwadi Party members, alleged that the state government was trying to shield the leaders, including three union ministers. PTI
