Registration of case sought against samiti
Officer alleges violation of norms

The district villages industries officer, Ludhiana, has recommended the registration of a cheating case against the management of the Kyur Gram Udyog Samiti for its alleged act of taking a subsidy of Rs 4 lakh from the state Khadi Gram Udyog Board by furnishing false affidavits.

Mr Rajat Das Gupta from Calcutta recited the English translations of Nobel Prize winner Rabindra Nath Tagore’s poems in Bengali on ‘Bhai Taru Singh,’ ‘Banda Bahadur,’ and ‘Guru Gobind Singh.’

Forum issues warrants against Station Superintendent

For non-compliance of the order of the Punjab State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum has issued conditional warrant against Station Superintendent of Ludhiana Railway Station T.R. Rana and imposed a fine of Rs 4,000.
