Barmer hottest at 45.3°C New Delhi, May 4 Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana and at isolated places in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Ambala 1, Himachal Pradesh: Barsar and Nahan 1 each, Uttaranchal: Mukteshwar 2 and Dehradun 1 each. Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir, rose in east Uttar Pradesh, fell in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and the remaining parts of Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 45.3°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).
