VHP chief in hospital
Coimbatore, May 1
Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) President Ashok Singhal, who suffered a heart attack, was admitted to a city-based hospital this morning. Hospital sources said the condition of the 75-year-old VHP leader was stable. They said he would be closely monitored for another 48 hours in the intensive care unit of the hospital. Mr Singhal, who visited Arsha Vidya Gurukulam at Anaikatti, about 30 km from here, to meet its founder, Sri Dayanand Saraswathi, yesterday complained of chest pain this morning and was brought to the K. G. Hospital in the city. UNI
