Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, above normal in Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 38.6°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Punjab and east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 13.4°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 27: Weather will be mainly dry over the region.
