Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh.Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation (in cm) are: Himachal Pradesh: Gohar — 3, Kumarsain and Rampur Bushar — 2 each and Kalpa, Kahu and Kasol — 1 each; Jammu and Kashmir: Pahalgam — 1.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose appreciably in west Rajasthan, rose in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir, fell in Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were above normal in west Rajasthan, appreciably below normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 36.1°C recorded at Barmer and Jodhpur (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, fell in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were above normal in Rajasthan, appreciably below normal in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 9.8° C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 25: Weather will be dry over the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 25: Mainly clear sky. Slight rise in maximum and minimum temperatures, which will be around 32°C and 17°C, respectively.
