Budget at 11 a.m. on Feb 28
New Delhi, February 19
The General Budget for 2001-2002 will be presented in Parliament at 1100 hours on February 28. This was announced by Speaker G.M.C. Balayogi at an all-party meeting soon after President K.R. Narayanan made his address to the joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament today. The Railway Budget for 2001-2002 will be presented on February 26 after Question Hour, he said. PTI

PMO issues denial
New Delhi, February 19
Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) today categorically denied a report that Mr Atal Behari Vajpayee would lay the foundation stone of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. Mr H.K. Dua, Press Adviser to the Prime Minister, said, “There is absolutely no basis for this report.” PTI
