NEW DELHI, Feb 9 — Cold wave conditions are prevailing in parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab.

Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 3° C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of 11th: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of 11th: Clear sky. Strong surface winds to continue during the day time. No significant change in minimum temperature.
