2 Bihar ex-ministers surrender
PATNA, Feb 6 (UNI) — Two former Bihar ministers and ruling RJD MLAs, Lalit Yadav and Jaiprakash Yadav, surrendered before the court here today. Former Minister of State for Cooperative Lalit Yadav, accused of torturing a truck driver and cleaner, surrendered before the court of acting Special Judge (Harijan Atrocity) Ram Nath Mahto, who remanded him in judicial custody till February 13. Meanwhile, former State Education Minister Jaiprakash Narayan Yadav, an accused in the fake degree racket, surrendered before Justice Jitendra Sharma in the court of the Vigilance Department.

Vaz visit put off
LONDON, Feb 6 (PTI) — British Minister for Europe Keith Vaz, subjected to “hounding” by the press for alleged involvement in Hinduja passport affair, has put off his scheduled visit to India later this month. No reason was given though Vaz himself had said he would be visiting India this month.

Builders in dock
AHMEDABAD
, Feb 6 (PTI) — Builders, whose two or more multi-storeyed structures had collapsed in the earthquake in Gujarat, would be arrested under the Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act (PASA), according to Minister of State for Home Haren Pandya.
