Snowfall in J&K
NEW DELHI, Jan 20 — Cold wave conditions continue to prevail in most parts of Uttar Pradesh and in parts of Haryana (including Chandigarh) and Punjab. They have extended into parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Cold wave conditions have abated in Rajasthan.

    The maximum relative humidity was 94 per cent and the minimum 38 per cent.

NEW DELHI, Jan 20 — Cold wave conditions continue to prevail in most parts of Uttar Pradesh and in parts of Haryana (including Chandigarh) and Punjab. They have extended into parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Cold wave conditions have abated in Rajasthan.

Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of snowfall in cm are: Jammu and Kashmir: Firm Base 13, Bimbet LC 10 and Pathar 6.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, rose in Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, below normal in the remaining parts of Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was minus 0.4°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 22: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be dry in the rest of the region.

Low temperature warning: Ground frost is likely at a few places in Punjab during the next two nights.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 22: Hazy sky. Mist/fog in the morning. No significant change in minimum temperature.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of January 22: Sky will be mainly clear.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
