Prasada serious
NEW DELHI, Jan 14 (PTI) — The condition of senior Congress leader Jitendra Prasada, who is in deep coma, continued to be very critical, doctors attending on him said today. Mr Prasada was admitted to Apollo Hospital here on January 9.

Noted metallurgist dead
NEW DELHI, Jan 14 (UNI) — Renowned metallurgist and founder Chairman of the Ordnance Factory Board S. Bhattacharya died here this morning. He was 80.
A former Managing Director of the Bokaro Steel Plant, Dr Bhattacharya, was the first Asian to be awarded the Corts Medal for research in metallurgy by the Victoria University, Manchester, in 1948. He was given the national metallurgist award in 1964 by the government for his contributions to the development of indigenous gun barrels. Dr Bhattacharya is survived by his journalist son Shubhabrata Bhattacharya.
