Cold wave conditions are also prevailing in parts of Punjab. They are likely to continue during next two days and extend to Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 1.2°C recorded at Sirsa (Haryana) and Sarawa (Uttar Pradesh. Forecast valid until the morning of 9th: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal.
