Jethmalani’s plea dismissed
NEW DELHI, Dec 6 (PTI) — The Supreme Court today dismissed an application filed by former Union Law Minister Ram Jethmalani seeking recall of an order directing the cbi to probe the genuineness of the document, annexed to his new book which raised a controversy over Chief Justice of India A.S. Anand’s age.A Division Bench comprising Mr Justice K.T. Thomas and Mr Justice R.P. Sethi while dismissing the application said the court while ordering the cbi probe on November 27 “had not made any reference to Mr Jethmalani or his book.”
Cop commits suicide

NEW DELHI, Dec 6 — A CRPF Constable committed suicide by allegedly shooting himself with his service revolver in the Parliament House complex today. The Constable, Abdul Salam (35), was on duty when he took this extreme step, police sources said. A suicide note written in Manipuri was recovered from him in which he had stated that nobody should be held responsible for his death.
