BSP leader convicted
LUCKNOW, Nov 17 (UNI) — Additional Sessions Judge Kalimullah Khan today convicted a BSP leader and former state minister Angad Yadav and Chandra Pal Yadav in connection with the murder of former state minister Laxmi Shanker Yadav. The judge would deliver his verdict on the quantum of the punishment tomorrow. Mr Yadav was gunned down at Jiamau locality in the state capital on October 29, 1995.

Trinamool demand
NEW DELHI, Nov 17 (UNI) — The National Democratic Alliance meeting here on Sunday will take up the Trinamool Congress demand for a partial rollback of the oil prices hike, Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee said today. Talking to reporters, she said NDA convener George Fernandes had invited her to the meeting. The rollback issue was on the agenda, she said. The NDA meeting had been called primarily to discuss the business to be conducted during the winter session of Parliament starting the next day.
